I wanted to share a portrait that I shot a couple of years back and stumbled across by accident and decided to revisit and produce a composit with. I took this shot of my best mate Dan and for what ever reason never saw this shot as a keeper when selecting the best images from the shoot. Don't ask me how or why I missed this one! Anyway, I played with the crop a bit and then really wanted to see if I could drop this into a grungy background. I played with some different retouching and colour tones and I thought it looked pretty cool. Below are the shots once cropped as I bought them together to create the composit. In terms of the lighting setup, this portrait was not shot with compositing in mind like I normally do so I had to find a background with more light on the left side to help pull off the fake. I liked the perspective and lines in the ceiling of this car park so thought this would work well.
Speaking of backgrounds, I've been shooting and processing several different backgrounds over the past couple of months with compositing subjects into them in mind and I've got several ideas I'll be working on so will keep you posted on how these turn out.
Have a great weekend! Thanks for reading.
