Admin Stuff, Backgrounds, And Processing

Hi All,

Few bits to cover in today's post so will get straight to it.

Admin Stuff:

I've been playing with business card options for a while now and designed some new one's recently that just came through which I thought looked pretty cool. Let me know what you think?

I was also really pleased with how my Pro Footballer post card flyers came out when I collected them last week so thought I'd show them off - here is a phone shot of them stacked up yesterday. I was recommended to use Uniprintuk and I have to say, not only did they turn them around lightening quick for me, the quality of the cards are excellent. If you are in the Bournemouth area, be sure to check them out.

Backgrounds:

I'm constantly on the hunt for backgrounds as I continue to enjoy compositing and the possiblities shooting and processing in this way offers. Here is a before and after of a Sub Way background I shot in the last couple of weeks. I used it with another one of the Rugby shots I took a few months back. I'd tried a couple of different backgrounds but they just didn't work until this one, and I was pretty pleased with how the final image came out, so added it to my portfolio.

Processing:

I've got some processing to get to asap for a couple of shoots I've done recently and will show results on the blog as soon as I'm done. One is for a fashion/model style shoot and another, a beauty shoot with an up and coming film make up artist. It's always tempting to get started on the processing  as soon as all the images are imported, but I tend to wait till the following day, if not longer and go into selecting the keepers and then the processing phase with fresh eyes. I find this helps. In fact, when it comes to my composit work such as the Rugby shot above, I'm actually finding myself spreading it out over a much longer period of time. I worked on this at different times for over a week to get it just how I wanted it.

Anyway, thanks for reading, enjoy your weekends and keep any eye on the blog next week where I'll be showing some of the results.

Cheers,

Stu
