Gym Composit

More personal Compositing project work to share this week with my good mate Andy as model again.

I captured a cool gym background a while ago and prepped it knowing I wanted to drop a subject in and finally got round to getting this done. Here is the original background straight out of camera with no processing applied.

Here is the background once processed using High Dynamic Range software and with some tweaks to the colour made.

Then for the subject. I used a 3 strobe light setup on Andy to ensure I had good rim light wrapping around him and some contrast fill light in the front, so two softboxes on each side and a beauty dish without a diffuser at the front for some fill.

Once I bought the two together I wanted to give this more of a gritty feel. I blended the subject into the background, adjusted the size a little, applied some small retouching in a few areas, some dodging and burning and then some global effects to change the overall tone and colour of the image.

Hope you like. Thanks for stopping by!
